Welcome to Data Mafia

You have reached the digital stomping ground for Marc. This site is the point of contact for my relationship with technology.

My focus on technology is 2 fold. First is programming, mostly for web, all stages and types. Second is audio ranging from live performance to electronic engineering and consulting.

  • Technology: PC (3.x+), Mac (10.x+), and Linux (2.x+ Debian), anything with blinking lights.
  • Programming: PHP, Javascript, Ajax (multiple libraries focusing on JQuery), MySQL, HTML/CSS, AS3. More on programming.
  • Web and Data: XML, JSON, API's, IDX, RETS, analytics, tracking, analysis, consulting, transformation.
  • Miscellaneous: Learning Python then C++ with a goal of building embedded devices. Interest in ARM technology and real time environment control.

Why Data Mafia?

  1. The domain was available.
  2. It is catchy and fits into the modern name space for web based endeavors.
  3. For the record, any considerations regarding the use of mob tactics, illicit behavior, and so on are false.
  4. Instead, Data Mafia applies to the initiative of making "data behave" or "applying the necessary pressure to technology to reach success.
  5. Why not? If you need to get a solution to a data or technology problem right now, calling in "Data Mafia" has a certain correctness.
  6. As far as business goes, my work is not credited to Data Mafia. My LLC is Interzone Multi-Media and is entirely focused on commerce driven solutions.
